Frequently Asked Questions

Database protocols, investigation mechanics, and technical support.

Investigation Protocols

Yes. DetectiveOS uses local browser storage to automatically save your suspect notes, unlocked evidence, and case status. You can close the tab and resume later.
Once you have gathered sufficient evidence, open the 'Submit Indictment' panel from the left sidebar. You must identify the correct suspect, the method of the crime, and cite at least 3 pieces of supporting evidence.
Every case includes a 'Field Support' module (found in the 'Support' section of the sidebar). This tool provides progressive hints that nudge you toward key evidence or contradictions without spoiling the solution. Using hints does not penalize your final evaluation.
The system will reject your indictment and provide feedback on why it failed (e.g., 'Evidence Insufficient' or 'Incorrect Method'). You can continue investigating and try again.

Multiplayer & Access

Yes! DetectiveOS is designed to be solved solo or cooperatively. You can play together by screen-sharing via Discord/Zoom, or multiple agents can log into the same account simultaneously to review different documents in real-time.
DetectiveOS is optimized for desktop and tablet interfaces due to the complexity of the documents and tools. Mobile access is possible but recommended only for reviewing case files.
All payments are processed via Stripe. DetectiveOS does not store credit card details. The 'Security Clearance' levels are one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
