Is it really free?
Yes. Speak Now is a free detective game you play online, in your browser. You need a free account so your progress and rank can save, but no card and nothing to cancel.
Why do I need an account?
The case saves to your account, so you can stop and come back, and it stays in your library next to any case you buy later.
Can I play on my phone?
Like every case, it is made for a laptop or desktop (or a laptop on the TV). It opens on a phone, but the desk is cramped there.
Is it the same game as the paid cases?
Yes. The same briefing, evidence room, interview room, notebook and case wall. It is a smaller case you solve without the forensic tools; the audio lab, inboxes, records and bank trails come with the full cases, along with 60 to 90 exhibits and five suspects.
Is it gory?
A stabbing at a wedding, told through logs, photos, texts and interviews. You never see the body, and nothing is graphic.
